Use your imagination to put yourself elsewhere. Imagine a relaxing experience or repeat calm words to yourself. Try these techniques at all times to practice in case you end up in a tense environment.
Start to communicate
When you allow yourself to seek anger management, you may learn to communicate more effectively with people. You know not to become defensive automatically. You do not want to jump to conclusions when speaking with people. In addition to communication, learn to use humor when communicating.
For example, if you want to speak rudely or call someone a name, try to picture it in your head first. Imagine the insult as literal. This can change your anger to humor. While you should never laugh off your problems, you can use them effectively to deal with your issues without fighting with others.
One important thing to learn from anger management is sometimes you need a break. Take yourself out of a situation and do not let yourself feel overwhelmed or trapped. Give yourself personal time throughout the day.
